Context

Yoox Net-A-Porter Group builds and runs the online stores of some of the world's most recognizable luxury fashion houses. For these brands the storefront is the brand: the digital shop window has to carry the same weight as a flagship store. I joined as an Interface Developer on the e-commerce experiences of Stone Island, Missoni, and Moschino — an environment where design quality and attention to detail are simply non-negotiable.

What I built

My main project was rebuilding stoneisland30.com, the site celebrating Stone Island's thirtieth anniversary, in React and Gatsby. Pages like these live on large imagery and motion — exactly the ingredients that usually make the web slow and hard to use — so the real work was resolving that tension: keeping the editorial richness the brand demanded while shipping pages that load fast and stay accessible. Alongside the rebuild I developed UI components and features across the three brands' storefronts, with the same two priorities on every ticket: speed and accessibility.

Outcome

Fast, accessible storefronts that met the visual standards of luxury fashion. Working at that level of polish — where every pixel, easing curve, and transition gets reviewed — permanently raised the bar I hold my own work to. It's where I learned that performance and beauty aren't a trade-off; they're the same discipline.
